The 2012 edition of Saluda, N.C.'s Coon Dog Days was held under withering heat on Saturday July 7, in partnership with the Central Carolina Coonhunter's Association comprised of members from South and North Carolina. Possibly the hottest Coon Dog Dar ever according to Parade Marshall Hop Foster, the Bench Show (dog show), Treeing Contest and all-around hound dog good times did stay on schedule to entertain all the fans and families. Lots of Lowcountry folks were present as usual, and it is notable that the 2013 event will mark the 50th edition of Coon Dog Day.
